April/ May

So much has happened this past month! First off, we got to go to UTAH for Sisi’s Graduation. We stayed at Robert and Emily’s house ( A BIG THANKS to them) and got to walk around BYU campus with Kiera. It was so neat roaming around BYU with our baby. It made it extra special. It was surprising how many people I knew and ran into! However I know, in a few years all of the people i know will be gone and BYU won’t be nearly as exciting. Seeing Sisi Graduate was quite exciting. I was so happy for her. It made me think about all the fun experiences we had together at BYU. I’m just glad that we were able to be roommates and share the BYU experience together. Not many sisters get to do that. The trip was also extra special because we got to spend time with Casey. What a fun brother! We even surprised him with a camera attack at Panda Express. My favorite comment from Casey on this trip was after Kiera peed on his pants. He said looking at me with disgust and handing kiera back to me,“ I am not having any babies, I am going to adopt them all at age five!”
After Utah I did load after load of laundry! By the time I was done it was time to pack for D.C and ohio. The whole Chen family met up in D.C and we saw Madeleine ( Sunny’s little girl) for the first time. She is so cute and has tons of hair. We took lots of opportunities to take pictures of the kids. In D.C we got one day to tour and Laura was nice enough to take us around! She did fabulous! She showed us so many sites that we couldn’t get to in one day without her driving us around. I was amazed at how green D.C was. I love the brick houses that surround the neighborhood. On Saturday we also met up with Tammy and her husband Hugh! What a cute couple! It was so fun to see Tammy again and find out that she is still so wonderful and bright. It’s been too long since I got to see her. Kiera seemed to enjoy the trip and was very well behaved. After two full days in D.C we went to Ohio. In Ohio I was lucky again to see Alice and her new baby. Every time I see her I am just baffled that we were in primary once dreaming and wondering what we will become. Now, we have become and I think it’s better than what we once dreamed we would be! Who knew we would be both mothers at age 23. I for sure didn’t. But I love that I am! In Ohio we also got to experience a one in the life time opportunity with an amish family. We got to eat dinner with them! I just admired their big family and how hard working each child, wife and father was. It was interesting to learn more about their faith. The sacrifice they choose to take on in order to practice humility is quite an admirable practice. It made me wonder how I can further be humble and submissive. It made me remember and appreciate the source of everything I have. What a month indeed! PS. I updated my other blog! http://momentcaptured.blogspot.com/ Can you see the Buggy in the background? Yep they took us on a ride!

  3. Hi, Chelsea. This is Emma, Sisi and Casey's friend. Kiera is such a cute little girl. Sisi said "i wish my daughter would be as pretty as Kiera". Kiera is totally adorable!

I am so jealous that you and sisi and casey can go to college together as siblings! I don't have any brother or sister, so I totally envy you on this part!

Thanks for sharing your love-in-first-sight story with us on Sisi's graduation lunch. I love that story and it's so lucky for you to be a young, hot, happy mom!

    =)
